Lockdown Vault Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 19, 2026

Lockdown Vault (com.lockdownvault) is a private photo and video vault. This policy explains how the app handles information.

Information stored on your device

When you choose photos or videos to import, Lockdown Vault stores encrypted copies in the app’s private storage. The app uses the selected media only to import, encrypt, organize, display, export, back up, restore, or delete it at your request. The app does not upload vault media to the developer or to an analytics service.

Your PIN, biometric-unlock setting, thumbnail preference, albums, trash state, and other vault metadata are stored locally on your device. The app does not create an account and does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, advertising ID, or browsing history.

Photo and video selection

The app uses Android’s system Photo Picker and document picker when you tap Import. Access is initiated by you and is limited to the files you select. The app does not request broad storage access.

Backups and exports

If you export an encrypted backup or a media file, Android lets you choose the destination. The transfer is user-initiated and controlled by the destination provider. Lockdown Vault does not operate a cloud backup server or receive the exported file.

Google Play Billing

The app uses Google Play Billing for the optional Pro purchase and purchase restoration. Google Play processes payment information under Google’s own terms and privacy policy. Lockdown Vault does not access your card number, payment method, or billing address.

The app may receive purchase status, product information, and a purchase token from Google Play so it can grant or restore the purchased feature. This information is used only for purchase functionality and is not sent to the developer’s own server.

Network and sharing

The app has network access only for Google Play Billing. It has no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, social, messaging, or developer-operated synchronization service. Lockdown Vault does not sell or share your vault content.

Deletion and retention

You can delete items from the vault, empty Trash, or use the vault wipe action. Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app removes locally stored vault data according to Android’s storage behavior. Exported backups remain wherever you chose to save them, and you are responsible for deleting those files if you no longer need them.

Children’s privacy

Lockdown Vault is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app’s data practices change. The effective date above will be updated with material changes.
